Lent is officially over, to my surprise. As some of you select few know, I gave up sweets for Lent. That includes ALL chocolate, candies, cakes, bubble gum and puddings/pies. The reason I was surprised that Lent is over was that I had thought it did not end until after mass tonight. So, I went up to my Grandma's to cut the grass. After that she was making a cake for Easter dinner tomorrow. Well, I instantly plopped my finger into the icing and then into my mouth. I thought that I had broken my Lent thing. So I came home to tell my parents and they said it ended at noon. WOOT for me for going a whole 40 Days without any sweets!

Tonight me and my entire family are going out to eat for my parents 25th Anniversary. It should be a good time. We are going to a really exspensive Italian place. Those going include: Uncle Tim, Aunt Mary and Uncle Bruce, Angela (cousin) and Dan, Shera (cousin), Vanessa (cousin), Mom and Dad, Emmy (cousin) and Jeremy, Lydia (baby cousin), my brother, Grandmother and me. My other grandfather cannot come because he says he gets heart burn that late at night. lol. Happy Easter Eve all.

So, I have not update anything with substance in a while, so here I go.

Let's start out with school. As previously said, I had all As and one B on my midterm. The B was because of me missing a class for my Pap's funeral. It is no big deal becuase we get to drop our lowest lab grade (mine being a zero since I did not come). This week had to have been the first week since the semester started that I actually had fun. In Literature we finished "A Doll House" by Ibsen. It was a good play with a lot of twists. We are now reading "The Importance of Being Earnet." I didn't like the play at first but then when we started watching the movie, with Resse Witherspoon, and I realized how funny it actually was. Chemistry was also good. We have two take-home quizzes. One of which is pretty fun. We are measuring the pH of household objects and then deducing from that the concentrations. Our tests grades were horrible. I had a C then he gave us five bonus points, which bumped me up to an 84. He said no one got an A, so I was okay with it. Physics started out good. I got a good grade on my test. The lab, however, was hell. I hate working with ammeters, voltmeters and so on. Fitness and Wellness was also good. We had to do two miles on the wood path and it was freezing cold; like a wind chill of 15 degrees. I also signed up for the Tutor Dinner with Cassie. A free dinner is a free dinner, plus it is scheduled for when my parents go on their 25th Annv. cruise so that will give me something to do.

Now life. Well, I am in a bit of a mess. My physics lab partner and friend, Cassie, has been asking me to do a bunch of stuff lately. Mostly dinner and movies. I am okay with that. We went to see V for Vendetta and had a good time. I just get the feeling she wants more than a friedship. She is hard to read though. She may just be nice to everyone. She brought in, Matt, my other physics lab partner, who annoys the crap out of me, a cupcake for his birthday. And I have to admit I was a bit jealous, lol. But I don't get the vibe that I like her like that. Then there is LB, Lauren, who also started hanging out with me a lot. We went out of town for spring break shopping, ate dinner, saw two movies (Failure to Launch and She's the Man). I definetly cannot see me as a boyfriend with her, plus we were pretty close friends in highschool. {By the way, saw She's the Man last night and loved it. Since I am a Shakespeare nerd and had already read 12th Night I knew the premise of it but still loved it. Amanda Bines was hilarious.} So that's LB and Cassie. Now to the girl I really like, Mary. Well she's a senior in high school. My cousin attempted to set us up because she was the assitant coach of Mary's team. So, Mary thought I was pretty hot and was nice. So my cousin told her the same only to find out Mary is still not over her ex-boyfriend, whom she has been broken up with for seven months. So blah blah, the love triangle continues. I actually don't think I "need" a girlfriend, however it would be nice. So I have been hanging out with a lot of my old friends lately. Well that's all for now.

What is new with me? Well I have been busy with school as usual. This week is midterms and I have both a Chemistry and Physics exam so I have been studying a lot. We are reading Hamlet in Literature. I really am enjoying it. I like Horatia so far. We are on Act V and it is beginning to get good. Well it has been interesting since Hamlet killed Polonius. Anyways, I got a graduation memo, from my current college, in the mail and I got accepted into FSU for next year. I am still sad a lot of the time but it will only get better with time, as I am told. I also signed up to be a Chem 101 tutor because I heard the 101 students are having a lot of trouble. For Spring Break I am going to North Carolina where they film One Tree Hill to be an extra. All I have to do is send a pic in and then they will call me. Anyways, that is life... I am also pissed because I picked up the "Full Screen HP" DVD assuming that all of them came with the special features. WRONG! Now I have to return it and get the other one. Arg.

I think it is because we are selling Pap's car and I have to pass it both on the way to college and on the way back. It is so bad. I hate looking at it. I just have this feeling of emptyness inside of me. Why do we all live if we eventually have to die? Where is the fun in life if we all have to exit it eventually? Why make relationships that will inevitably end? And I was invited to a FoB concert in Pittsburg in April, but I do not know whether I want to go. A girl from my physics class asked me. Meh.
…was the worst day of my life. On that Wednesday I lost my grandfather. He was both a caregiver and friend, and he has greatly impacted my life and will continually play a role in my future. A year ago, around October, my pap was sent to the hospital because he was in the pre-stages of having a heart attack. He ha shad three in the past and was brought back to life even before I was born. He was in the hospital because he was getting a stint placed in, and later it emerged that he also had a bladder infection. My pap does not do well with pain. He was in a horrible condition and I hated to see him in such pain. He was in the hospital for 11 days and then released. The doctor told him he had to stop smoking. He had smoked for over 60 years. My pap knew this was going to be the hardest thing he had ever done. It started out great. He did not smoke at first. However in the weeks following he began to sneak around the neighbor hood and continually take rides. My friends had told me they had seen him smoking. My grandmother even smelled the nicotine. He would never admit to it and I honestly have to say I never saw him smoke one after he was hospitalized, although we did badger him about it. In short, he continued to smoke. So a year past and he seemed perfectly fine.

After Christmas of this year he developed a small cold and it stuck with him through February. It seemed like nothing. My Pap was always sick, so we just assumed he had a cold. He even visited the doctor on Monday and she sent him home with some pills. He shoulder had also started hurting, but he said it was just his arthritis acting up. Well, my mother and me went to visit on Tuesday night. We said in the living room with my Grannie and Pap and talked for around two hours. He was fine; making jokes; laughing; etc… We left and I said “see you tomorrow.” (I visited them everyday after class) The next morning my classes were delayed because of snow. My Grannie called me and said “Is your mom there?” I said no and asked what was the matter. Her voice was extremely shaky. And then she said the worst thing I had even imagined in my life. “I think your Pap is gone. He’s cold and he’s not breathing.” I immediately hung up the phone, got in the car and drove up to the house. My Grannie was in her living room crying. I ran upstairs and into his bedroom. He looked like he was asleep. I felt him and knew. I went back down stairs and the tears would not stop. I just hugged my grandmother and waited for all of the other relatives to return. It was the most horrible feeling I had ever had. I not only felt sad because of him passing but I also felt so bad that my Grannie was all alone. She had never been alone. AT sixteen she married my Pap and never had a driving license. She was scared. I have just been there for her as much as I could. The first couple weeks were horrible and school was too because I was not at all focused. I know that people say, “at least he went peacefully.” But I honestly do not care how he went; we were just there! We were talking to him! We were laughing! I said I would see him tomorrow! I never got to say goodbye. And neither did my grandmother! I do not know why this has to happen, but it does. It will happen to everyone one day or another and I feel it is the worst and saddest feeling I have ever experienced. I just miss so many things about him and that he does not get to see my have a real job… God, why? Anyways, that is why I have not been online. Thanks to Muddy, HM, Nat and Kat for all their support. Trust me, it meant so much. :( I love you and thank you.

Well, the new messageboards are up, so I of coursed joined. But after a day of posting I realized that I never really missed the boards when they were gone in the first place. Since returning I had already been ridicule for posting "spam" and therefore it got me thinking about why I even bother posting on them. The people are rude to me and ignore me and are not the type of people I wish to be associated with. I was a lot happier when the messageboard was down for that month and I did not find myself in nearly as bad of moods as I was when I was dealing with the immaturity of jealous internet junkies. So, that is it, I am taking a break from posting for a while for fear I may once again put my foot in my mouth. It is not worth it to get myself so upset. It is actually pathetic of me that I allow people, who I do not even know(which I may point out that NONE of them knwo me), to get to me. So farewell.
Well, it is official. I am completely obsessed with Smallville. I have been watching my favorite episodes on DVD all winter break. I have joined a messageboard, downloaded pictures and even saved it as my desktop. I am going crazy. This whole "100th episode" death is driving me nuts. I feel like they are killing off one of my friends. Pathetic, I know. And I bought the second Smallville CD mix, which is where the title of my entry comes from. Anyways, I will be panicing until I find out who dies. I saw pictures of Lana in a car accident, which leads me to think it is her. If it is her I will be angry.

I went Ice skating with Tyler, Lauren, Brittany, Andrew, Evan (all of whom I graduated with), Sarah, Jen and Justin. It was pretty fun. All the boys got hockey skates, which allowed us to skate a lot better. I warned everyone to get the hockey skates. None of the girls could skate what so ever (figure skates did this, I tell you). They spent most of the time holding onto the wall. I held Lauren's hand a bit but she flipped out when she was not close to the wall. Then when she wasn't looking I gave her a little push and she fell, boy was she pissed, so I fell with her. Anyways a huge blister formed on my toe which I busted later and wish I had not because now it hurts. After that we went to get ice cream. I got coffee ice cream with brown bits in it. It was so good. We ran into my uncle there, which was odd. But all and all I had a great time. It was a nice time before school starts on Monday. Once schools starts I go into my shell and work and do not get out much. We do have plans for Spring break though.

Oh and now I understand what HM was saying about friendship.

Smallville 5.10 - Fanatic

Overall it was good, not great. I enjoyed most of it. It was basically about Lex and Jonathan and their race for State Senator. Lois becomes Jonathan's campaign manager. Clark begins to worry about his sex life, which by the way was hilarious because he comes to Chloe for advice. She say's she has turned into his "Krypto-hag." Funniest line of the episode. So anyways Lex's fan base, The Students for Lex Luthor, go crazy and hang Jonathan Kent by his feet from the barn in an attempt to force him to drop out of the race. He does not. Oh and early in the episode Martha is offered money from Lionel because her husband's campaign money is running out and Lex is planning to launch a huge publicity stunt, she does not accept. Later the President of Lex's fan club comes to the speech thing that Jonathan is making and forces Lois to shoot him. Lois loads the gun but does not shoot. She and the President (Samantha) fight. Samantha gets up and shoots the gun at Jonathan’s head. Clark gets there in time, stops the bullet and Lois pins the girl down. At the end Martha realizes they have a slim chance of winning the election so she goes to Lionel and gets in the limo with him, assumingly she took the money because that is how the episode ended. Lana and Clark also get in a tiff about their sex life and keeping secrets. Next week looks a lot better. It is called “Lockdown” and is about Lana and Lex and two cops that want to know what happened to the space ship.

Also, there was a clip of the 100th Episode. There was a car screech and then Lex and Clark say "Lana!" I think Chloe is save. She was not in much of the episode and she is not in the next one much either.

So last night on LOST the creature was revealed. Was a bit lame and they need to work on their CGI stuff. Although I did find it creepy that the black smoke had flashes of people in it. Hmm... no idea what it means. Also, I really enjoyed Mr. Eko's storyline. Very sad one. I like how his brother said he saved him once and now it was his turn to safe Eko. Good episode overall. I am more pumped for tonight's Smallville Episode: "Fanatic."

    <lj:music>"I'll Never Tell" - Anya and Xander</lj:music>

Well this week has been a good one. I bought my spring semester books on Tuesday. I only had to buy for Intro to Literature, Chemistry Lab 2 and Lifetime Fitness. I got one of the books used and then bought my Intro to Lit book. I think it was only 85 dollars. Luckily the Chemistry and Physics textbooks hadn't changed since fall and they are the expensive ones. Last time I paid over 400 for books… And no, I am not ready to go back.

So... last night I had dinner with Melissa, who I graduated with and am very close friends with, at an Italian place. I said I would buy her dinner as a little Christmas present. She only got a 12-dollar meal so it wasn't a big deal. We both had salad and Chicken Parm. It was so good. We talked for about two hours total. It amazes me how half the people in my class (high school) are living now, including Melissa. No one is going to school, everyone is getting drunk and smoking and basically just all-out partying. I mean, that may seem nice and all for some people but they have no futures. They work jobs making minimum wage. I mean I can understand some people do not go to college but they have real reasons, the people I know have no reason not to go. They just don’t have their priorities in check that is all; they care more about having fun then getting serious. Well, enough with the rant. Melissa told me this really funny story about Jesse trying to "fondle" her one night. I cracked up for like ten minutes. Anyways, the night was fun.

Tonight I am going to play Scene It! HP edition at my cousins.

Oh, and yesterday morning I woke up early and turned my TV on. The Buffy Musical was on. It put me in a good mood.

(Ten bucks to who can guess who said the quote in my subject)

Well, going to a New Years Eve party with some people I graduated from high school with. The weird thing is I never talked to them much in high school. I was actually invited to one of my best friends, Allison's beforehand but I don't really want to go. Her husband will be there and we never really got along. Also, my cousin invited me to a really really drunken one, but I skipped out. I am more of the pizza and soda type of guy for NOW. Happy 2006!
